Video Poker is a beloved game that usually will be played in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through an Internet account. The regulations are absolutely simple and consist of the player trying to get the greatest mixture of cards achievable in order to win cash. On this account it is very similar as a regular game of poker, minus the involvement with any other players. Of course, tactics employed during a physical game of poker, such as bluffing, will be irrelevant here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the machine and presses the play button. A 5 card hand will then be electronically ‘given out’ on the screen.

The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and bettors should now choose which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the player would like to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it is all or none.

After the player has decided on which cards he or she wishes to retain, they should press ‘draw’, at which point any new cards are needed they will be given out. The game is now completed, with the Electronic Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it matches any of the winning hands shown on the pay out schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on an Electronic Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each better hand. A list of common winning hands starts with jacks or better, moving on to two pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It is obvious that the pay out schedule can change from game to game, so that discerning enthusiasts are agile enough to pick the most beneficial ones each instance.

As soon as the initial round has played out, the player can either decide to remain on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that might have been won. Additionally, a few styles of the game give the player an opportunity to increase their wins, in which instance another game is played. There are also variations between individual machines, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to increase playability.
