Video Poker is a favored game that can be played in casinos all over the world, or alternatively at your house on your computer, using a net account. The game rules are very simple and involve the player attempting to achieve the best mixture of cards as you can in order to acquire cash. On this account it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, without the interaction with competing players. Of course, tactics employed during a real-life game of poker, such as bluffing, will be useless here.

The game of Electronic Poker begins when the player inserts credits (whether it is tokens, credit slips or money) into the video poker machine and pushes the play button. A hand of 5 cards will be electronically ‘dealt’ on the video screen.

The Video Poker game also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers should now pick which cards to hold and which to throw away. For the cards the player wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they light up. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the player has selected which cards he or she would like to keep, the player will then press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be dealt if desired. The round is now finished, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the payout schedule.

Normally, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money growing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payout schedule can change from game to game, so that skillful players are able to select the most profitable ones each instance.

Once the first round has completed, the player can either choose to remain on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any money that has been won. Further, some styles of the game give the enthusiast an opportunity to increase their wins, in which case a further round is played. There are also differences among individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing elements to increase playability.
